Ride a bike
Forests, ponds, lakes, mountain peaks, villages, and historic towns make our Neisse region diverse and ideal for cycling tours. Tours can be chosen according to interest, stamina, and fitness level, suitable for families with young children or experienced recreational cyclists. North of Niesky, the paths lead through flat terrain, while the hilly south offers more challenging routes, especially around the Königshain Hills and the Rotstein.
The Oder-Neisse Cycle Route is the most famous long-distance cycle route through the Neisse region. Starting in the Czech Republic, the 630-kilometer route runs along the German-Polish border to the Baltic Sea island of Usedom. In addition, the Frog Cycle Route, Spree Cycle Route, Prince Pückler Cycle Route, and the Saxon Cities Route, all of which are of supra-regional importance, run through our region alongside the many shorter cycle tours.
Numerous hosts offer comfortable accommodations and bicycle rentals. E-bike riders will find charging stations in many places.
