Rotstein
Discover gentle tourism in the midst of untouched nature! Sohland with the Rotstein and its surroundings offers numerous opportunities for an interesting and relaxing holiday.
Comfortable hiking trails lead you directly to the Rotstein from Sohland. From various vantage points you can enjoy the charming Upper Lusatian landscape and, on a clear day, even see as far as the Jizera and Giant Mountains. The view from the observation tower on the Rotstein is particularly impressive.
Königshain Mountains
Welcome to the Königshain mountains west of Görlitz! This extensive granite area extends over approximately 50 km² and includes striking elevations such as the Kampfberge with the Ahlberg in the south and the Hochstein in the north. The free-standing granite rocks are the remains of over 100 quarried rock towers from over 200 years of quarry history. Today the granite mining museum and numerous quarry holes are silent witnesses of this time.
Upper Lusatian Heath and Pond Landscape Biosphere Reserve
Take a tour and discover the habitat of over 5000 bird species and plants in the nature reserve between Lömischau and Kleinsaubernitz.
Hike along the themed trails, dotted with information panels, and learn more about the origins of this unique landscape. Round off your hike with a visit to the nature market in spring and autumn, or explore the "House of a Thousand Ponds" at the traditional four-sided farmstead in Wartha.
Muskauer Faltenbogen Geopark
A glacier from the last Ice Age shaped the landscape of today's geopark, giving it its horseshoe shape. The folded layers of the subsoil make the history of our planet tangible.

Among the most beautiful destinations is Lake Luisensee with its unique vegetation covering the water's surface, accessible via a circular path. Landeskrone near Görlitz

Wooden House Tour Niesky
At the beginning of the 20th century, the Christoph & Unmack company near Görlitz achieved worldwide renown for the machine-prefabricated and turnkey delivery of wooden houses, schools, churches, and even aircraft hangars. Discover nearly 100 historic wooden houses in Niesky and follow the Wooden House Trail to the garden city-like settlements. High Dubrau

Niederspreer pond area
Discover the Lusatian glacial valley east of the Erlichthof in Rietschen. The landscape offers dry heathlands, extensive forests, picturesque ponds, and lush grasslands bordering the Muskau Heath. Over 60 plant species, more than 50 bird species, and numerous mammals such as white-tailed eagles, cranes, and otters live here.
Start your tour from the car park at Niederspree Castle. Explore the landscape on family-friendly hiking trails with observation towers and discover the diversity of nature in the Niederspree pond area.
Zittau Mountains
South of the Neisse region lies the Zittau Mountains Nature Park with its volcanic remnants, romantic valleys, and fairytale sandstone formations. The highest peaks are Lausche and Hochwald, reaching almost 800 meters. Here you'll find approximately 435 km of well-marked hiking trails.
Discover historic towns like Zittau with its Lenten veils and Löbau with its cast-iron tower, both offering interesting destinations for day trips. The Umgebinde houses are particularly fascinating, a unique combination of Slavic log construction and German half-timbered architecture built by the settlers.
Around Kulturinsel Einsiedel
Discover the diverse hiking trails and attractions around the Secret World of Turisede near Zentendorf. Start your tour from the parking lot of the family adventure park, known for Germany's first treehouse hotel. Hike along the Neisse River to Germany's easternmost point and explore other attractive trails such as the Neisse Romantic Trail, the Frog Meadow Trail, and the Beaver Trail in the Bielawa Dolna Adventure Village. Experience animal encounters at the "Viewing Café" and enjoy the treehouse walkway labyrinth and sculpture park.
Lusatian Mountains
The Lusatian Mountains border the Zittau Mountains Nature Park on the Czech side. This mountainous region in North Bohemia has been a protected landscape area since 1976, boasting magnificent peaks such as Jedlová, Klíč, Hvozd, and Studenec. As in the Zittau Mountains, the characteristic half-timbered houses (Umgebindehäuser) also define the townscape here.
Along nature trails and designated hiking paths, you will repeatedly encounter bizarre sandstone rocks, the sight of which is only surpassed by the fantastic views from the summits.
